This September, Ms. Destiny Spencer was honored by the Charleston-Institute (WV)
Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, for her outstanding achievement as Kanawha
County’s 2024 Principal of the Year. The Links presented Ms. Spencer with a beautiful
bouquet in recognition of her dedication to the school.
The presentation took place in the office of Mary Snow Elementary, where Ms. Spencer
has made a profound impact on students and staff alike. It was particularly special for
The Links, as the organization has a four-year relationship with the school through its
monthly STEM program. This initiative, conducted in partnership with Covestro, brings
engaging STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) activities to the school’s
5th-grade students, encouraging them to explore the exciting world of science and
technology. Ms. Spencer has been a key supporter of this program, and her leadership
has helped foster a positive and enriching environment for STEM learning.
